2014 Nov Speaker Cindy Needham 2Cindy Needham has been a quilter for 45 years. She first became interested when she was living in the Blue Ridge Mountains. At first she hand quilted, but eventually came to machine quilting which has been her passion for the last 17 years.

She has shown her skills and techniques on such shows as “The Quilt Show” with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims and has published articles in Machine Quilting, Quilters Newsletter and American Quilter Magazines. She wrote “Wholecloth Linen Quilts” published by AQS and has a handbook of quilting designs available as a download from her website. She has teaching shows on Craftsy which can be accessed through her website, http://www.cindyneedham.com/

Cindy is married to Kent Needham, a cabinet maker in Chico, CA and has 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters. Her husband plays the trombone. Kent supports her quilting habit and she supports his trombone playing by following his band “the Ophir Prison Marching Kazoo Band” around in local parades. They have 2 dogs, Katie and Miter. Miter seems like the perfect name for a quilter and cabinet maker to put on their dog! She will be with us this month. Don’t miss her! Cindy’s workshop will be Heirloom Feathers & Backgrounds.
