2014 President Mary StockardHappy Holidays to all you quilters!! Some of you I know are out there sewing up last minute gifts and binding that quilt that goes under someone special’s tree. My wish is that you all find peace and joy in your sewing room, your kitchen and among your friends and family in this festive time of year, and that you don’t wind up frazzled and frustrated!

And my wish for the Guild is that we fill every job in the New Year with someone who chooses to give back and participate with enthusiasm! There are a few committee positions open, so please see me or Pam Boozan and throw your name in to be on the team with us. Don’t be shy…. We have a lot of fun!

We sure had fun at the last workshop. Cindy Needham made artists out of every one of us. I looked over what I accomplished the day after the workshop and it looked pretty good! Somehow, it got better overnight, and with fresh eyes (even though they aren’t working so well at the moment) I saw that yes indeed, I CAN do that! We have had great workshops this year, and that is one reason our Guild is just the best!

As we close this year and welcome 2015, I hope the month keeps every one of us healthy and that the season is especially bright, safe, and happy for you and your family.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays,

Mary
