I always enjoy October when the days stay warm, but the evenings cool off and you can snuggle under a quilt and watch movies in the evening and stitch. I truly enjoyed Justine Gentile’s quilts at our October meeting and I am m in awe of her beautiful handwork. The workshop was really fun and productive. Many of us finished our crazy quilt background squares, and after practicing a few stitches, and learning some new ones, started stitching. I’m sure there’ll be at least one person that may show off what they accomplished at Show & Tell next meeting.
We have a busy month ahead of us with our Kaleidoscope of Quilts show on November 2  and 3.rd. There are over 200 quilts that will be on display, the vendors are coming, the Girl Scouts are cooking and we owe it all to Quilt Show Chairs, Pam Boozan & Beckie Welty, their dedicated committee, volunteers, and of course, all of you for providing the lovely quilts we look forward to seeing. It’s also membershirenewal time and time to start thinking about what workshops you want to take next year. Gayle Wayne has provided us with a terrific line-up of guest speakers.

At the November meeting we will be voting on the 2012 slate of officers. We will also have ballots for  each member to name the Outstanding Member of the Year. These ballots will be tabulated and announced at the December guild meeting.
See you at the Quilt Show.
